My June 1-6 group: So...there’s not much cohesiveness. Mostly just trying to get stuff on paper. My color usage needs work, as does finding content that can sustain my interest. The liquid acrylics are new for me. I started off using them exactly like watercolors or ink, so that’s what they look like. Maybe next week I can make them look different.
june 1 - nailed it - brush & ink

june 2 - dead fish - brush & ink

june 3 - where-her-wolf? - pencil
quickly abandoned

june 4 - untitled - brush & ink, liquid acrylic
Trying for color, not getting what I want. Might mess with it again later.

june 5 - untitled - digital
Trying to be abstract?

june 6 - untitled - digital
In the end, I reverted back to comic-ish.

Date: 2019-06-09 09:59 pm (UTC)i think it's so cool that you know how to create all these drawings in different mediums. i don't know much about traditional medium materials, but teoh yi chie has some videos on yotube using inks and watercolours, if you're looking for inspiration.

Date: 2019-06-11 05:16 pm (UTC)Thanks for the link. I'm going to just mess around with them first. I usually don't do tutorials for art, because most frame the process as doing it "right" or "hacks", which sucks the joy out of it for me. I prefer stumbling into an unknown space and messing shit up until I find something I like. It's less efficient, but more fun LOL
