June 1-6

My June 1-6 group: So...there’s not much cohesiveness. Mostly just trying to get stuff on paper. My color usage needs work, as does finding content that can sustain my interest. The liquid acrylics are new for me. I started off using them exactly like watercolors or ink, so that’s what they look like. Maybe next week I can make them look different.

june 1 - nailed it - brush & ink

june 2 - dead fish - brush & ink
june 2 - dead fish

june 3 - where-her-wolf? - pencil
quickly abandoned
june 3 - where-her-wolf?

june 4 - untitled - brush & ink, liquid acrylic
Trying for color, not getting what I want. Might mess with it again later.

june 5 - untitled - digital
Trying to be abstract?

june 6 - untitled - digital
In the end, I reverted back to comic-ish.

these look so good! i especially like how joyful the first image is.

i think it's so cool that you know how to create all these drawings in different mediums. i don't know much about traditional medium materials, but teoh yi chie has some videos on yotube using inks and watercolours, if you're looking for inspiration.

What [personal profile] ideare said -- the grin on the woman on the left in your first piece is delightfully infectious. The playing with color and texture in the last two is also fun.
