artslamA bit late for day 9 but I'm happy with what I came up with!
It's 5AM so here is a copy paste from a bit of a write up I did of them:
The Enku take pride and family very seriously so this normally deters them from acting out. Some individuals after committing a crime will choose to banish themselves in shame rather than having their family take the penalty of their actions.

These are the Enku (full name Enkuverzei) They have kind of an odd society revolving around both strict rules and humans being forcefully integrated into their ranks.
The Enku find humans alluring but they don’t always treat them well. Humans and Enku live together in a large isolated jungle city; many humans are kept as what would really be considered ‘pets’ but some treat the humans as their own. Newer generations are much nicer to humans.
If an Enku commits a serious crime; not only will they be severely punished, their entire family including 3 generations of their future kin will have to pay for it as well. The family and future generations will receive higher taxes and be expected to work twice as hard depending on the severity of the crime the one individual committed.The Enku take pride and family very seriously so this normally deters them from acting out.
